Inner Weather Mood Tracker

A one-minute check-in for noticing how you feel. Pick the weather that matches what's going on inside, name the feelings that are there, and notice where you feel them in your body. Over time, your check-ins build a picture of your patterns: what tends to bring storms, and what helps the sun come back.

Inner Weather was designed with teens in mind, but it works for anyone who wants a simple way to pay attention to their emotions. Parents can use it alongside their kids, too.

Open Inner Weather

How to use it

  1. Pick your weather. Sunny, partly sunny, cloudy, rainy, stormy, or lightning. Choose the one that fits best right now.
  2. Name the feelings. Tap any that fit, or add your own words.
  3. Check your energy and your body. Where do you notice the feeling? Your chest, stomach, shoulders?
  4. Look back. The My sky tab shows your last four weeks. The Summary tab turns your check-ins into a short summary you can share with a therapist, counselor, or someone you trust.

Tip: Bookmark this page or add it to your home screen so you always open the same copy. Your check-ins are saved in the browser you use.

Your privacy

Nothing you enter is sent to us or anyone else. Your check-ins are stored only on your own device, in your browser. We can't see them, and neither can anyone else unless you show or share them. If the device is shared, you can set a PIN to keep your check-ins private. Clearing your browser data will erase your check-ins.

Please note

Inner Weather is a self-reflection tool. It is not therapy, a diagnosis, or a crisis service, and no one monitors what you enter. If you are in crisis or thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) any time, day or night. In an emergency, call 911.
