Trauma Therapy in Hermosa Beach
Understand what you have carried. Build a greater sense of safety in your life.
Ask about therapy ↗The experience may be over. Its effects can still be present.
You may know that you are safe and still feel on guard. Memories, conflict, or changes in someone’s tone can bring a rush of fear, a need to withdraw, or the feeling that you have to keep everyone else comfortable. Sometimes the effects are quieter: trouble sleeping, difficulty trusting, emotional numbness, or feeling disconnected from yourself.
At Endeavour Psychology Group, we offer trauma therapy for people living with the effects of frightening experiences, loss, emotional abuse, and difficult relationship histories. We consider what happened alongside the relationships, culture, and circumstances that shape how you have made sense of it. You do not need a PTSD diagnosis to ask for support.
Begin with what helps you feel more grounded.
Make room for choice and pacing
You do not have to tell your whole story at the first appointment. Together, we identify what feels most pressing and agree on a pace that supports your ability to stay present.
Understand your responses
We explore triggers, relationship patterns, and the ways your body responds to stress. Therapy can help you recognize when familiar protective responses are shaping a situation in the present.
Build ways to respond
Practice grounding, noticing emotions, communicating needs, and setting boundaries. We connect these skills with the deeper work of grief, meaning, and trust, according to your needs.
Your relationships belong in the conversation.
Trauma can affect closeness, conflict, parenting, and your sense of responsibility for other people. Our relational and systemic approach makes room for those patterns, including the role of family, identity, and earlier experiences.
Natasha Behnam, Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist (CA PSY30937), works with trauma and recovery from harmful relationship patterns. Read about Dr. Behnam’s approach, or ask us about a clinician whose experience fits your needs.

Therapy that fits your circumstances.
We offer in-person appointments in Hermosa Beach, serving the South Bay, and California telehealth options depending on clinician fit and availability. Natasha Behnam, Ph.D. also offers telehealth for clients located in Delaware. The first conversations help us understand your current symptoms, history, supports, and goals.
When safety is an ongoing concern, we focus on individual support and careful planning. If a different level or type of care would better meet your needs, we will discuss options and referrals.
Common questions
Do I have to describe everything that happened?
No. You can begin with how you are feeling now and what you want help with. Your clinician will discuss the purpose and pace of any work involving difficult memories.
Is trauma therapy only for PTSD?
No. People seek support for many effects of difficult experiences, with or without a PTSD diagnosis. An assessment helps us understand what kind of care is appropriate.
What about fees and insurance?
We are an out-of-network practice, and many of our patients use insurance benefits to help cover their care. We can work with eligible out-of-network benefits according to the terms of your plan and provide documentation for reimbursement when needed. Because of our clinicians’ specialties, we may also be able to obtain a single-case agreement with your insurer when your plan allows it. Coverage, reimbursement, and approval depend on your individual plan. Contact us to explore the options available to you. Session fees vary by clinician and service; we will discuss fees before scheduling.
