Child & Adolescent Therapy in Hermosa Beach
Understand what is happening beneath the behavior. Help your family find a way forward.
Ask about therapy ↗Children do not always have words for what feels hard.
Stress may appear as school avoidance, irritability, withdrawal, conflict, frequent reassurance seeking, or difficulty managing strong feelings. Teenagers may want more independence while still needing help with relationships, identity, and the transition toward adulthood.
At Endeavour Psychology Group, we consider a young person’s experience within their family, school, friendships, culture, and stage of development. Therapy offers space to understand what is happening and build ways of responding that fit the child and the people caring for them.
Support for children, teens, and parents.
Emotions and coping
Help young people recognize feelings, communicate what they need, and practice ways to manage anxiety, frustration, sadness, and overwhelm.
School and peer relationships
Explore school-related stress, friendship difficulties, confidence, attention, and executive functioning concerns. When assessment or school support may be useful, we discuss the options with you.
Family communication
Work with parents and caregivers on understanding behavior, responding to distress, setting consistent limits, and making room for connection during conflict or change.
Parents are part of the process.
We discuss caregiver involvement, consent, and confidentiality at the start. A young person needs room to speak openly; parents also need useful guidance. Your clinician will explain how these needs are balanced, including safety concerns and the legal limits of confidentiality.
Depending on age, goals, and family circumstances, the work may include individual sessions, caregiver consultations, or sessions together. With appropriate permission, we can discuss coordination with schools or other providers.
We do not assume that one difficult behavior has one explanation. Assessment considers development, learning, relationships, stress, and other possible contributors.
Find the right starting point.
We offer in-person appointments in Hermosa Beach for South Bay families. Telehealth may be an option for California clients when it is suitable for the young person and available with the clinician. Contact us about your child’s age and needs so we can discuss fit.

Common questions
Will parents know everything discussed in therapy?
We explain confidentiality and its legal limits with caregivers and the young person at the outset. We aim to support parent involvement while giving the young person a meaningful space to speak, and we address safety concerns as required.
Does my child need therapy or an assessment?
The best starting point depends on the concern. Therapy addresses emotional, behavioral, and relational difficulties. An assessment may help clarify learning, attention, or developmental questions. We can discuss these options before scheduling.
Can I start with parent support?
Contact us about a caregiver consultation. Parent support may be appropriate even when a child is hesitant about participating; the plan depends on the family’s circumstances.
What about fees and insurance?
We are an out-of-network practice, and many of our patients use insurance benefits to help cover their care. We can work with eligible out-of-network benefits according to the terms of your plan and provide documentation for reimbursement when needed. Because of our clinicians’ specialties, we may also be able to obtain a single-case agreement with your insurer when your plan allows it. Coverage, reimbursement, and approval depend on your individual plan. Contact us to explore the options available to you. Session fees vary by clinician and service; we will discuss fees before scheduling.
